The Jennison Charitable Foundation is delighted to announce that Nellie Rushton, from Worcester, Massachusetts, has been awarded her fourth academic scholarship from our foundation. Her scholarship this year totals $5,995 and will assist with her tuition at Stanford University, where she is pursuing a major in data science with minors in mathematics and history, and she currently maintains a 3.77 GPA.

Nellie was selected from a highly competitive group of returning winner applicants due to her outstanding academic accomplishments, participation in extracurricular activities, and dedication to making a positive impact in her community.

Nellie graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 2023, where she was an impressive AP Scholar with Distinction, a member of the National Honor Society, and earned a place on the Merit List at Quinsigamond College. She also received the City of Worcester Young Woman of Consequence Award and the Harvard Book Award. Furthermore, Nellie served as the Student Representative for the Worcester Public Schools Committee and was co-President of the Doherty Memorial High School Student Council. In addition to her academic achievements, she was an active member of the varsity teams for lacrosse, basketball, and field hockey.

At Stanford University, Nellie serves as co-president of the Stanford Management Group, a pre-professional undergraduate consulting organization that collaborates with Fortune 500 companies. She is also a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Additionally, Nellie holds the position of co-president at Kids with Dreams, a volunteer organization that offers weekly educational and recreational programs to over 100 individuals and families dealing with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
