The Jennison Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce that Luis Umpierre-Atilano, from Springfield, Massachusetts, has been awarded a second prestigious academic scholarship.  Luis earned a scholarship this year in the amount of $10,000 to support his tuition at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he is majoring in informatics and earned a 3.83 GPA.

Luis was selected from a highly competitive pool of returning winner applicants due to his exceptional academic achievements, active involvement in extracurricular activities, and his commitment to making a positive impact in his community.

Luis graduated from Libertas Academy in 2025 with an impressive 3.8 GPA. He served as National Honor Society President, was a student in the Outstanding Scholars Program and took dual enrollment classes. While studying at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Luis maintains his employment to help fund his education.
